Children's services at PIW


The Children’s Program specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children ages 5 through 12 who suffer from acute psychiatric symptoms that cannot be treated as an outpatient. As part of the Children’s Program, our nurturing, multidisciplinary staff provides:

  • An individualized treatment plan
  • A safe, supportive, therapeutic environment
  • Individual and group therapy
  • Family therapy and support services
  • Expressive therapy
  • Classroom educational services

Psychiatric Institute of Washington is a 124-bed facility with inpatient, outpatient and partial hospitalization programs.
