Substance Abuse and Co-Occurring Disorders

Our inpatient detoxification and substance use disorder program is medically supervised for individuals with alcohol and drug addiction. This short-term substance abuse rehabilitation program addresses medical and psychiatric factors associated with dependency. After completing our inpatient substance use disorder treatment program, our staff will help the patient find additional behavioral health resources in DC or surrounding areas.

The average length of stay is approximately seven  days for people receiving inpatient treatment. Your treatment team can connect you with a peer recovery coach and additional programs to help support your discharge from the hospital.

Note: The Psychiatric Institute of Washington accepts DC Medicaid in addition to all previously accepted insurances. For information about our programs, visit our contact us page.
