At PIW our focus is not on problems, it’s on people. Entering the hospital is a big and important step towards healing and recovery. PIW offers inpatient services for adults 18 and over dealing with mental health crises and substance abuse issues. We also offer both inpatient and outpatient services for post-traumatic stress disorders, including sexual trauma.
Our adult psychiatric program provides short-term inpatient care. Individuals coping with anxiety, mood disorders, chemical dependency, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and serious personality disorders can receive stabilization and treatment. We are able to accommodate both voluntary and involuntary admissions.
PIW provides an inpatient detoxification program to help rehabilitate people from drug and alcohol addiction. Our detox program is medically supervised and addresses a patient’s medical and psychiatric condition.
The Center is PIW’s home for specialized care of trauma and stress-related disorders. The Center offers short-term directed treatment for adults who exhibit acute symptoms associated with post-traumatic and dissociative disorders and other trauma-based conditions. The Center uses a nationally respected model for the treatment of adults with post-traumatic syndromes and provides rapid stabilization and essential training in self management skills.
